The Omnipresence of Computer Vision

Since the beginning of time humans focused on "Evolving" and "Intelligence." When observed carefully humans have made inventions even during the early age and till the very present day, just to make their lives easier and hassle-free. The Global tech giants are using "Computer Vision" at a faster pace, and across all domains, right from autonomous driving and retail to healthcare, for improvement and productivity.
Computer Vision is a zone of Artificial Intelligence that empowers the system to derive significant information. Computer Vision is growing in the market with leaps and bounds. However, at present, it is considered to be in embryonic stage. The global computer vision market was valued at USD 11.32 billion in 2020, and is expected to spread at a compound annual growth rate(CAGR) of 7.3 from 2021 to 2028. The Computer Vision has occupied a larger area and has touched almost all sectors, even Education, self-driving cars in Automotive Industry, automation quality inspection in Manufacturing Industry, etc.
The Covid-19 was disastrous for the entire world, but when we focus on Computer Vision, companies regardless of the sizes, and across all industry verticals, were finding it difficult to keep their resources safe and productive during pandemic. However, the pandemic brought numerous opportunities for Computer Vision systems to combat the pandemic. The Artificial Intelligence based computer vision platforms were used for tracking, predicting, etc. during coronavirus pandemic.
Though it is hard to believe with such advanced system at present, the future might have stored better, but it is true. The future of Computer Vision, not only will have easier technologies to train but also will be able to discern more from images than they do in current times. This can also be used in conjunction with other technologies or other subsets of Artificial Intelligence.Computer Vision may also play a key role in the development of Artificial GeneralIntelligence(AGI) and Artificial Super intelligence(ASI)by giving them the ability to process information better than the human visual system. Do let us know what you think.
