Energy Storage System is Powerfully Transforming
The upswing of energy storage demand shows how much important it is to maintain clean environment and save our mother Earth. Excessive toxic CO2 emissions and carbon footprint are polluting the environment, so it is very important to switch to non-fossil fuels like solar, wind, bio, waste and nuclear in order to save our environment, save ourselves and improve our economy.
In order to cut-down emissions and control carbon footprint, the Government has planned to steer the demand of sustainability and follow the path of sustain ability. This important decision and drastic step indeed needs huge investment and good partnership to promote and maintain sustainable standard of living. At COP 21 in Paris in 2015, India had committed to use 40 percent of electricity generation from non-fossil fuels. This is not an easy path because we need proper dedication and contribution to fulfill this commitment, we need to encourage more studies on energy storage system technologies, prepare a strong energy storage system roadmap and tool so that the government, regulators and utilities will adopt and access well, and promote more ESS projects and so on.
Undoubtedly, over the years, the government has come up with significant steps to promote renewable energy and scale up the demand and usage of ESS. To hit the target, the Government has strategized a few initiatives like introducing efficient technologies in thermal power generation, generating more renewable energy increasing the share of alternative fuels in overall fuel mix, effectively implementing Green India Mission and other various steps to promote afforestation, planning and implementation of actions to enhance climate resilience and reduce vulnerability to climate change. Underlining these successful steps, India is slowly yet steadily empowering the ideas to shift ESS to a new dimension. As ESS opens gates for great opportunities to improve economy, generate job opportunities and achieve global recognition. Being ambitious to transform the country to green country seems to be possible.
