Entrepreneur First, a Global Accelerator in the DeepTech space has announced a total pre-seed investment of $4,40,000 in eight cutting-edge tech start-ups from its fourth cohort in India. It has raised $5 million over the last two years.
Entrepreneur First is a talent investor and pioneered the model of investing in people before they have a company or team. It was founded in 2011 by Ried Hoffman, Rob Bishop, and DemisHassabis. Since its inception, it has helped over 2000 people become founders.The platform brings together exceptional individuals without existing teams, businesses or investment, and give them the tools to meet their ideal co-founder and build startups.
Started in London Entrepreneur First has now spread across three continents.
After its launch in India, Entrepreneur First has earned a 100 percent increase in applications. While the first cohort received 800 applications, the most recent cohort received 1800, demonstrating that even in the face of hardship, the most ambitious aspiring entrepreneurs can spot potential. The organization has been partnering with leading technology institutes and market leaders in the ecosystem to raise interest in their cohorts among academics and young business professionals in a variety of industries.
