For many years, Pune has figured among the top five cities to live in; thanks to its consistently pleasant weather, proximity to Mumbai, cosmopolitan crowd, and top-ranked colleges to choose from. But there is more to Pune than these. In recent years, this sleepy city has been transformed into a hive of activity with the arrival and growth of a new horde of startups. One of the strongest reasons for the emergence of Pune as a startup hub is the presence of some of the largest companies and their hi-tech technological innovation and experiments which have inspired the whole ecosystem. The startup scene there is also booming because of the increasing government support. Soon after the CM’s declaration to boost the startup growth in the city, Pune Smart City Development Corporation (PSCDC) had set up a new subsidiary, Pune Idea Factory Foundation. PIFF has aimed at partnering with organizations that aim at promoting innovation and acting as incubators for startups in the city.

Our current edition is all about unique Pune based marketing start-ups that are keeping a hybrid marketing perspective combining the best of mainline as well as digital. Going beyond the orthodox marketing techniques, these startups are essentially involving them with the aspect of storytelling that is upfront, yet in an interesting and emotionally engaging way.
