A vibrant city located just 75 kms away from India's economic capital Mumbai, Pune has great weather, lively nightlife and strong infrastructure that makes it as one of the favourite destinations for start-ups and technologists. Buzzing with start-up activities, new launches, early-stage investing, acquisitions, mentoring and more, Pune is fast emerging as the favourite destination for startups and technological fraternity.

The city has an active start-up ecosystem in Software/IT, manufacturing technology and clean tech. One of the strongest reasons
for the emergence of Pune as an IT and start up hub is the presence of some of the largest automobile manufacturers and their hi-tech technological innovation and experiments which have inspired the whole eco-system. While India's largest vehicle manufacturer Tata has a formidable presence in the city, there are other big names which have established their base in Pune, and positively contributing to its overall status as the next tech hub of India.

More and more companies are now looking forward to Pune for establishing their R&D centers and Product Development hubs as the city provides them far better resources and an environment which encourages innovation. The Maharashtra state ministry has recently made commitment to make Pune the number one start-up hub in the country by 2020. There are also plans to bring together other incubators in the city, investors and mentors who can help and guide the start-ups.

Our current edition is all about such unique Pune based tech start-ups verticals that are meeting the demand for burgeoning start-up energy extending beyond just the commercial hub.
