Undoubtedly, startups are reviving every industry, from agriculture to fashion industry everything is coated with the touch of technology and sustainability. Then why do you think agriculture sector will be outdated? No, not at all! Earlier we called it as agriculture industry and today we have nailed it as Agritech. The amalgamation of technology and agriculture is doing wonders. This intervention has revitalized farming methodologies and updated from soil to soil-less farming where little or no pesticides are used in growing plants and vegetables.

I am sure this will redesign & redefine farming scenario and make us reimagine about what is pure farming. All thanks to R&D for pioneering natural methodologies which are clean, safe and cost-effective. The new mind-boggling methods are Aeroponics and Hydroponics. Aeroponics is in the air whereas hydroponics is in the water and both the systems are inter-related. The eye opening fact is, a few years back it was a struggle but today it is a possibility that we can nurture nature as well as our lives too. We are not afraid of any barriers, in fact we are ready to cook local and grow local in order to lead a healthy and nutritious life. Today, producing natural and nutritious is not difficult, as we are adopting smarter, reliable and less harmful methods to produce, eat and lead a healthy life.

And startups are here to revolutionize every aspect of human world, then why to worry? When we have startups and scientific technology, new techniques and mechanisms are easy to access and easy to apply. I am glad that Indian government has initiated with healthy contribution for promoting grow healthy and eat healthy. Government under the initiative ‘Development of Commercial Horticulture through Production and Post-Harvest Management’ provides subsidy for Aeroponics and Hydroponics farming. Not only this, VCs fund on various farming projects expecting equity in return and loans like USDA Microloans and SBA loans are granted for strengthening the food system.

The change makers have slowly yet steadily begun their journey to uplift the standards of Food Industry. More advanced training centres for updating skills and knowledge is much in demand, because all wants to know more about sustainable practices. I am sure none of us would prefer to lead a harmful life. Farmers need more training and knowledge about advanced methods and technology, so that they can produce food that is free of pesticides and pollutants. The world is definitely shifting ideology and values to create a future where every good thing is affordable & accessible for everyone. And for this, food supply chain and e-commerce platforms need to adopt more eco-friendly practices to beef up industries and performance. All thanks to new innovative e-commerce platforms for ensuring right place, right amount and right time of supply and meeting the demands of consumers. As a whole, we need more experts opinion for deciding what is good and what is nutritious. It is better to choose right, rather regretting later.
