DinoLab is an international EdTech company that develops data-driven interactive online courses for school students worldwide. Its main goal is to unleash the potential of each student by providing an effective tool to study either at school or home at their own comfortable pace in an interactive format.

Today the DinoLab online plat-form has such subjects as Mathematics, Coding and Problem Solving for grades K8, a large library of interactive tasks, and even international online competitions.

Global presence
DinoLab's approach and technologies have received the support of ministries of education and the trust of hundreds of thousands of teachers and parents in 9 countries.

Sahil Kapoor, the Chief Commercial Officer of DinoLab, says, "DinoLab was founded in Russia 10 years ago and since then it has become the most popular online platform for school education in the country and has gone global. Today the DinoLab technology is used by over 10 million school students from India, Russia, the USA, Canada, Brazil, China, South Africa, Indonesia and Vietnam.

We stand for a data-driven and personal approach to education. For students in each country, we adapt educational content based on the local educational standards and cultural characteristics. In India, DinoLab helps achieve National Education Policy goals and aligns with the school curriculum.

Since 2017, we have been conducting the BRICSMATH.COM international online competition in mathematics. Competition mechanics have shown themselves very well among schools. During this time, more than 5 million participants from 7 countries took part in this competition, and about 500 thousand of them were from India."

User-oriented educational approach
Sahil Kapoor says, "We see strong demand for our educational on-line content. In many ways, we are constantly developing it and rely on feedback from users. So, when creating a product at every stage of development, we are actively engaged in research, and communicate and maintain constant contact with students and teachers. They are our main stakeholders.
A similar approach to the design of interactive tasks for DinoLab was formed at the stage of creating the very first version of the Russian product. The founders of the company, being mathematicians, independently developed educational material and actively tested assignments in schools with children.

Today we conduct in-depth interviews, quantitative surveys, usability testing, and analyze custom-er support feedback. Designers, methodologists, and product managers are all involved in user research. All this allows us to continuously improve the product in all dimensions."

Our system adapts to each student and reacts instantly to such situations. If a student makes a mistake, the platform helps by asking leading questions but does not give the correct answer everything is based on pedagogical approaches

Creating a steady impact on Ed-Tech
Sahil emphasizes, "For learning to be effective, it is important that the child learns with understanding, deduces the rules on their own in practice, and does not memorize them. This is possible thanks to the construction of an individual educational trajectory and constant feedback. In addition, it is important to take into account the different rates of mastery of the material. To understand a topic, one child needs to solve 5 problems, and another 50 simply because everyone learns at a different pace. And you also need to take into account that children may lose motivation when they are given a task that they are not ready to cope with.

Our system adapts to each student and reacts instantly to such situations. If a student makes a mistake, the platform helps by asking leading questions but does not give the correct answer everything is based on pedagogical approaches. The student comes to the correct answer individually and develops self-confidence in their studies, which leads to the strengthening of self-confidence in real life. Thus, the student gains practical knowledge in basic concepts, which they then easily apply in exams."

An important result of such interactive learning is the growth of the educational results of children. "A number of independent studies have been conducted in Russia that have confirmed a 30% increase in student performance compared to those who do not study on the platform," Sahil added.

Future plans
Sahil says, "DinoLab is a teacher's assistant. For example, using DinoLab, a teacher can explain a new topic, con-solidate the material learned, break the routine, assign homework, and use the platform as an instrument of additional education. We will continue to increase functionality for teachers: we plan to improve the performance of re-ports that provide a complete assessment of the competencies of students. We are now actively investigating this issue in order to launch advanced reports in the near future that will meet the needs of today's teachers.

The content direction of the platform is actively developing and supplemented with new modern subjects outside the classical school curriculum. So, in addition to the existing line of courses, we are planning to soon release interactive courses called Logic Plus and Time Management. DinoLab's modern subjects help develop logical thinking and “flexible competencies”, forming versatile individuals with key skills in demand in the 21st century."
