Hetrogenous Communications Technologies raises funding from The Chennai Angels, Keiretsu Forum and other individual investors

si TeamHetrogenous Communication Technologies Private Limited has raised Rs. 5 Crore round of investments from The Chennai Angels (TCA), Keiretsu Forum and other individual investors to fund its ambitious growth plans in remote asset management, industrial automation and IoT.

According to Sriram Vaidyanathan, the lead from TCA in this investment, “This investment marks TCA’s first major investment in the rapidly growing IoT vertical, in a company backed by an experienced team of professionals. TCA has been at the forefront of investment in the technology domain, having backed several companies.

“Hetrogenous is a cutting-edge play in the Machine-to-Machine communications space, led by seasoned executives who bring to bear a great deal of technical depth and the experience of having built and exited companies. We are excited to include Hetrogenous among the many IoT plays that Keiretsu Forum has backed and look forward to actively working with the management team and our co-investors to build Hetrogenous into a world-class company,” said Ramdas Sunder, the investor lead for Hetrogenous from Keiretsu Forum (Chennai).

“We are excited to include TCA and Keiretsu in our early investor panel, validating our technology platform and business model.
The investment will help us scale our remote infrastructure management solution in the telecom sector, where the Hetrogenous STAY platform is delivering mission critical data insights from remote assets for leading tower management companies. The investment will also help us in expanding into other markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. Hetrogenous is also planning to introduce an OPEX model for our clients, where we lower their upfront investment dramatically,” said Mr. Anush Gopalan, founder and chairman at Hetrogenous Communication Technologies Private Limited.
