More and more healthy investors are showing interest in the new budding entrepreneurs and their organisations. Even Bollywood celebrities are not far behind in the race and are grabbing every chance they can to make a fruitful business investment.

Celebs are now going beyond the entertainment industry and making big investments in other sectors also like FMCG, FoodTech, healthcare and fitness startups. Let’s take a look at these celebrities and what are they investing in.

1. Deepika Padukone

Earlier this year, Deepika Padukone invested in Drum Foods International Pvt. Ltd., the flavoured Greek yoghurt Epigamia’s parent company. The investment in the FMCG sector by the actress was made through her own entity, KA Enterprises LLP.

2.Amitabh Bachchan

The most renowned actor of the industry invested around $250,000 along with his son in a Singapore-based startup, Ziddu; way before startup funding transformed into a trend among celebs. Ziddu is a cloud storage service startup that offers free file hosting.

3.Aamir Khan

The Dangal actor recently made an investment in an online furniture rental platform, Furlenco. The Bangalore-based startup offers people to rent out furniture for an indefinite time period at nominal prices and also deliver it to the customer’s doorstep.
4.Shilpa Shetty Kundra

The yoga expert of the B-town made an investment worth $1.6 cr in a baby care products startup. Mammaearth, which is backed by Honsa Consumer Pvt. Ltd., has more than 500 stores around the country and the brand's product lineup is also available on various e-commerce platforms.

5.Suniel Shetty

Suniel Shetty made an undisclosed investment in a healthcare and fitness startup, SQUATS earlier this year in May. The Pune-based company is addressing the challenges in the fitness industry and has over 5 lakh members.

6.Priyanka Chopra

Last year, Priyanka Chopra invested in the US-based dating app Bumble which had come to India then. Apart from investment in the company, Chopra is also the brand ambassador for Bumble. The dating app has over 55 million users around the world.

7.Arjun Kapoor

The actor picked up a minor stake in a Delhi-based startup, Foodcloud.in, a food delivery startup. The startup aims at delivering home-cooked food from a kitchen to the customers.

The latest trend of startup funding is catching the eye of many Bollywood actors now. From endorsing a product to picking up stakes in the organisations, these celebrities have come a long way and are paving a new road for startup funding.
