Indian defence-tech startup Ammunic Systems raised $1.1 million in seed funding in a round led by India Accelerator and its VC arm Finvolve. The funding will accelerate the startup's expansion plans around scaling manufacturing, enhancing R&D, and creating cutting-edge indigenous defence technologies.

Established in 2024, Ammunic Systems is a company that is dedicated to the design and development of sophisticated weapon systems, with a major emphasis on electronic fuzes, warheads, and munition integration technologies. Its vision is to limit India's reliance on defence imports by developing self-reliant, indigenous innovations.

The proceeds will be utilized to drive Ammunic's innovation roadmap, add depth to its operations capabilities, and invest in new product development. In addition, the firm aims to grow its engineering force and ramp up production facilities to support future demand.

Founder Priyanka Singhal highlighted that the investment is not merely capital. "This is not just funding  it's an endorsement of our vision to make India stronger and more independent. Each system we develop and each test we conduct brings us closer to securing our country with homegrown solutions," she said.

Ashish Bhatia, India Accelerator Founder & CEO and Finvolve Co-Founder, also voiced agreement: "India's defence industry stands at a crossroads. Ammunic embodies the type of deep-tech innovation required to enhance national security and decrease dependence on foreign sources."

With India increasingly making indigenous defence manufacturing a priority under endeavors such as Atmanirbhar Bharat, entrepreneurs like Ammunic Systems are helping to redefine the nation's defence landscape.

This investment is a milestone for the startup as it gets closer to providing next-gen weapon solutions that are developed completely in India.
