Aroa Ventures Partners receives Rs.40 crore from SIDBI & UP Startup Fund

Under the schemes of the Government of India's Fund of Funds for Startups and the Uttar Pradesh Government's UP Startup Fund, Aroa Venture Partners has received a capital commitment of Rs.40 crore (4.8 million).

The underwriting from two sovereign schemes signifies that the fund has collected several areas of strength from government quarters also. Aroa Adventure has likewise roped in Sekhar Puli as a general and managing partner.

Puli is a veteran business leader who offered REAN Cloud to Hitachi Vantara in the year 2018. In addition, he invested in the private equity firm BV Investment Partners in the United States.

Established in the year 2020 by Gaurav Gulati, Aroa Adventure Accomplices puts resources into ahead of schedule and development stage investments across areas.

In its starting days, Aroa Ventures was supported by RACo Holding Company and Oyo's organizer Ritesh Agarwal used to control 100 percent stake in the trading company then. More than 36 startups have received funding from Aroa Ventures' $50 million Fund I, including CRED, MPL, Magicpin, and Dukaan.

The Aroa is an AIF in the Category II category that asserts to have commitments from family offices and institutions totaling more than Rs.400 crore (48 million dollars). It intends to reach its final close by March 2025, the end of the current fiscal year.
