AskMyGuru, a new age spiritual-tech company, has received $1.2 millionseed funding led by Lumikai, a venture capital firm focusing on interactive media and gaming investments. Lumikai led this round with $800,000, and others who participated were MPL and angel investors like Amarnath Thombre, who was the CEO of Match Group Americas.

The money will be used to increase AskMyGuru's product development, further its own Ved Vyas AI engine, and expand language support beyond English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu. Founded in 2025 by Krishna Mohan Vedula and Vivek Sadamate, AskMyGuru seeks to modernize spiritual and astrological advice by combining AI, gamification, and in-depth research with Indic knowledge systems.

The platform hopes to revolutionize the spiritual industry for the digital age, providing engaging experiences that foster deeper connections between users and spiritual mentors, or gurus. In the process, AskMyGuru hopes to give the gurus sustainable income sources while presenting users with a new way of accessing spiritual guidance.

In addition, AskMyGuru intends to broaden its knowledge of finance, relationship, and career advice, positioning itself for competition with other sites like Astrosage and Astrotalk.

Lumikai, known for investing in firms at the intersection of technology, culture, and emerging media, has invested in a number of India's top interactive media companies in the past, including Elo Elo, Bombay Play, and Supernova.
