Astrotalk lifts $20 million from New York-based Left Lane Capital

AstroTalk, Spiritual tech startup presenting best astrology website for online astrology predictions from the best astrologers of India has raised $20 million in a Series A round led by Left Lane Capital, a New York-based venture capital firm that invests in high-growth consumer and internet technology companies. So far, this round marks as a one of the largest funding rounds conducted in the spiritual-tech industry in India.

According to official a press release, the startup AstroTalk will utilize the capital for strategic acquisitions to develop its presence in global markets, set new business verticals and employ senior leadership role.

Established in the year 2017 by Puneet Gupta and Anmol Jain, AstroTalk connects the users to astrologers for horoscope readings, birth chart analysis, live prayers & more. The tech-enabled platform possesses more than 15,000 active astrologers and has catered more than 4 crore users up to date.

In a press release, Puneet Gupta, Founder and CEO, Astrotalk says “Astrotalk is a ‘Made in India, Built for the World’ company, eyeing expansion across the US, Canada, UK & Middle East. One-on-one consultations stand to be approximately 95% of our revenue with about 20% of the revenues coming from outside of India”.

As per the annual financial statement of the company, it placed 146 percent growth in its revenue to Rs. 283 crore in FY23 while its profits skyrocketed 41.7 percent to Rs. 8.5 crore. The company also anticipated to end FY24 with Rs. 650 crore in revenue and Rs. 100 crore in profit. Currently, the inventive startup competes with GaneshaSpeaks, InstraAstro, Click Astro, and Bodhi.
