B Capital Group Invest on Khatabook

Team StartupcityKhatabook which is a Bengaluru based startup founded in 2016 is an app that provides online services that help the shopkeepers and merchants to keep a track of their credit and debit transactions.

Khatabook will close a $70 million funding round which will be led by the new investor Capital B Group a Us and Singapore based investment firm founded by Eduardo Saverin,

in this funding round, other existing partners of Khatabook Sequoia Capital and Tencent will also take part which may raise the startup with $275 to $300 million in less than four months. This will encourage and set confidence among investors to back startups and invest in them


Khatabook helps the merchants and shopkeepers to keep a record of their transactions. Whenever it’s time for the creditor to clear the due payments, Khatabook will automatically send messages and reminders to the merchants or shopkeepers through SMS or WhatsApp messages.


If the deal happens as planned, it will be the latest investment from B Capital Group. This firm also led a $ 105 million round and also participated in the B2B Series C Funding round.
