B2B Logistics Startup BlackBuck Raises Rs 56.23 Crore from Trifecta Venture

Team Startup CityBangalore-based logistics startup BlackBuck has risen a total funding worth Rupees 56.23 Crores from Trifecta Venture. According to documents filed with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the funding is a mix equity and debt bonds. Additionally, the logistics startup has risen Rupees 6.23 Crores through the issuance of 322 Series D CCPS. The latest round of funding was also participated by existing investors
Sands Capital and International Finance Corporation. The story was first reported by YourStory.

Six months earlier, BlackBuck had raised $150 million in equity funds led by Goldman Sachs Investment Partners and Silicon Valley-based Accel. Other investors who had participated in the rounds are Wellington, Sequoia Capital, B Capital, and LightStreet. This takes the total funding raised by the company to around $230 million, taking the total valuation of the startup to be around $900 million.

BlackBuck was founded in 2015 by IIT- Kharagpur
Graduates Rajesh Yabaji, Chanakya Hridaya, and Ramasubramaniam B. The company, uses its technology to match truckers with shippers in real-time, and thus in the process enables better truck utilization, better shipper pricing level, and efficient pricing. In addition to that, it also provides fleet cards, tyres, IoT, insurance and working capital credit to truckers. BlackBuck has over 300,000 trucks and more than 60,000 fleet owners in its platform.
