Beat22 Raises Seed Funding to Enable Asian Musicians

Beat22, a creator-centric beat licensing platform built to enable independent artists, has raised an undisclosed sum in a seed funding round led by SucSEED Indovation Fund, with contributions from prominent investors such as Chandigarh Angel Network (CAN) and Prateek Toshniwal. The startup intends to utilize this investment to ramp up its vision of becoming a top monetization and licensing platform for musicians in Asia.

Unlike other Western beat marketplace platforms, Beat22 is uniquely designed for the Asian music diaspora, allowing musicians to purchase, sell, and license vernacular sounds, regional beats, and culturally relevant music assets. The platform provides multiple sales and licensing solutions, such as activity-driven lead generation , real-time negotiations, smooth digital licensing, direct bank transfers, and other monetization services.

"The music business has been fractured for decades, especially pre-streaming. While streaming platforms and distributors have enhanced order and access for artists, the music creation environment remains disorganized and under-tipped. Beat22 hopes to fill this void by systematizing the chaotic world of music producers and offering tools and infrastructure that enable artists to monetize their creations from the very first beat," said Ashish Sudhera, Founder and CEO of Beat22.
