GoRally, a pickleball chain, has secured Rs. 6.6 crore ($750,000) in its Pre-Seed funding round led by Sujeet Kumar, with contributions from notable investors such as Mohit Kumar & Vatsal Singhal, Viren Singhvi, Kartik Kapoor, Abhishek Goyal, Deepak Singh, Arjun Vaidya, Bharat Founders Fund, an IITD syndicate, and multiple US-based investors.
The funds will support GoRally’s expansion to eight centers, including 40 pickleball and two padel courts, by April 2025. Among the upcoming facilities is the GoRally Whitefield indoor pickle-padel arena, a 40,000 sq. ft. complex.
Founded in 2023 by Sam Sancheti and Abhinav Shankar, GoRally currently operates four centers across Bengaluru, featuring 15 courts. Its flagship facility near Indiranagar spans 15,000 sq. ft., and it has built a thriving WhatsApp community of 4,000 members.
The company plans to launch a tech platform this month to enhance user engagement, including its popular ‘Open-play’ game format. Additionally, GoRally aims to expand its coaching services, boasting full-time trainers, including Karnataka’s top two players. The firm is also strengthening its equipment retail division, already distributing brands like Joola, positioning itself as a comprehensive player in the growing recreational sports market.
Looking beyond Bengaluru, GoRally plans to expand to major cities such as Delhi and Chennai later this year through strategic partnerships.
Sujeet Kumar, Co-Founder and Lead Investor of Udaan, expressed his enthusiasm for GoRally’s vision, stating that Sam and Abhinav have created something remarkable. He praised their passion and strong execution, highlighting how rapidly they have expanded. Kumar noted that with their tech-driven strategy and emphasis on community engagement, GoRally is transforming the way people experience the sport.
