Bengaluru-Based Startup IPEC raises $3 Million Investment

IPEC, an EV charging startup, has raised a $3 million investment from Nikhil Kamath and Abhijeet Pai's venture, Gruhas.
IPEC stated in a press release that the funding will further solidify its position as a leader in the EV charging market and enable it to push its growth in the wider power electronics market.
Established in 2017 through a collaboration between the MEHER Group, DEKI Electronics, and Sungho Electronics, IPEC is headed by CEO Zohra Khan. The company provides an extensive portfolio of EV charging solutions, ranging from vehicle charging outlets, EV connectors, to home, portable, and public chargers. Everything meets the current localization regulations, such as the PM E-Drive and PLI Scheme, as well as multiple national and international requirements.
Apart from hardware, IPEC offers Cloud-based Charging Management Systems (CMS) and a simple-to-use mobile app for intelligence and real-time monitoring. The firm has been approved as a supplier by prominent EV original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) like Ather Energy, Bajaj Auto, and Greaves (Ampere).
Abhijeet Pai, Co-Founder, Gruhas, mentioned, "IPEC is quickly emerging as one of the central players in India's EV charging ecosystem.". As the nation heads towards an electric future, it is crucial to develop robust and scalable charging infrastructure with quality components, sub-assemblies, and intelligent chargers. Zohra and IPEC are leading this revolution. By already catering to four of India's leading OEMs, they have created benchmarks in charger production, especially in the two-wheeler space. Their thorough knowledge of the ecosystem and technological capabilities make them well-suited to move beyond two-wheelers into more widespread uses.
