Biokraft Foods, a next-gen foodtech startup, has raised  Rs  2 Crore  ore in pre-seed funding from GVFL. The fresh capital will be utilized to strengthen R&D, accelerate product development, and secure regulatory approvals as the company moves closer to commercialization.

Founded in 2023 by Kamalnayan Tibrewal, Biokraft is developing cultivated meat products designed to replicate the taste and experience of conventional meat. The company leverages advanced biotechnology and 3D bioprinting to Crore  eate structured cultivated meat.

Biokraft follows a hybrid approach, blending cultivated meat with food-safe ingredients to enhance affordability, scalability, and texture. The startup has already conducted over 400 consumer trials, receiving highly encouraging feedback. It has also secured grants and incubation support from iCRORE  EATE, SPTBI, and ICT-NICE.

Targeting sustainability-conscious consumers, Biokraft is also building solutions for food manufacturers, restaurants, and retailers seeking alternatives to traditional meat supply chains. Its future roadmap includes cultivated seafood and pet food applications.

The company will be competing with both domestic alt-protein startups and global cultivated meat leaders such as Eat Just and Upside Foods.
