Other significant investors include Satish Kumar, Nagaraja Prakasam, Andi Giri, Prabhat Vivekanandan, Ashok Bakthavachalam, the chairman of the KG Group, Ranjith Chakkath, the CEO of Ninja Media, and Andi Giri, the CEO of Soft Square (chairman, Milky Mist).

Bversity was established in 2022 by four friends: Sudharsan V, founder and CEO; Raghul Jagannathan, co-founder and chief learning officer; Godwin Immanuel, co-founder and chief marketing officer; and Saiganesh V, co-founder and chief financial officer. The university creates courses to support skill development in biotechnology. Bversity's community-driven learning initiatives are aimed at closing the industry-academic gap in the field of life sciences.

Bversity intends to expand its staff and create a dependable and user-friendly edutech platform using the money it has raised. The start-up provides fundamental to advanced courses that last 3 to 12 months, and it has plans to launch graduate and certificate programmes in the future years.

“We want to build a global biotech education brand bringing in the top 1% mentors in the field of life sciences. We are also currently looking to raise our next round of investment to expand and scale,” Sudharsan V, CEO and Co-Founder of Bversity, said.

By 2025, Bversity is committed to developing a workforce of 1M+ qualified biotech professionals that have received top-notch training. On February 5, the firm also intends to introduce its own courses at Chennai's IIT Research Park.
