Creative Galileo Pumps $2.5 Million in Fund Round from Kalaari's CXXO Programme

Creative Galileo, an edtech startup has pumped $2.5 million in funding round. The funding round was led by Kalaari Capital, making it the first start-up to be backed by CXXO programme, the venture fund’s flagship for women entrepreneurs.

Founded in July 2020, the e-learning app for 3-10 age groups has noted around four million downloads and affirms to have five lakhs of active monthly users. Prerna A Jhunjhunwala, Creative Galileo’s founder claims, “It is the fastest growing early learning app in India”. The app has gained progression of in global markets, with 10 per cent downloads coming from countries such as Bangladesh, Nepal, UAE and the US.

The new fund raise will be utilized for product management, expanding business, expanding connection with innovative animation houses and hiring.
Jhunjhunwala says, “Our vision is to provide high-quality content for learning while keeping the process fun”.

The founder released an early learner app, Little Singham. About this she said it is character-based early learning platform that create customized and integrated learning experience for young and creative mind through education and entertainment.

She further said that the start-up will use fund for introducing more Indian and international languages and characters. The start-up also tied up with Amar Chitra Katha to create videos and games with wide range of characters from Katha. Creative Galileo has also partnered with Shermaroo, Big Animations, Toonz and Periwinkle.

Kalaari stated that from flagship CXXO Programme, Creative Galileo become the first investee to be happens. Vani Kola, Kalaari’s managing director says, “when we met Prerna and Nikhil, we truly saw them as shapers of a digital tomorrow, building the edtech solutions for global learners of the future”.

“We believe that technology in learning can bring unmatched access and affordability and improve literacy for a much larger target segment”, she added. She further said Creative Galileo is designed for young native learners of next generation by using technology as a means of transformation.
