D2C home appliances brand Nuuk has successfully secured $5 million (Rs. 40 crore) in a Series A funding round, which was led by Vertex Ventures SEAI.

This funding round also included contributions from existing investor Good Capital, as well as notable angel investors such as Rohit Kapoor (Swiggy), Vivek Gambhir (Boat and Godrej Consumer), Richard Rekhy (KPMG India), Suhail Sameer (BharatPe), Taru Kapoor (Tinder India & South Asia), and Deep Bajaj (Sirona Hygiene).

The funds will be allocated to enhance its product range in the home environment sector, including vacuum cleaners and meal preparation tools, while also venturing into smart IoT devices and other advanced home solutions.

Founded by Gazal Kalra (co-founder of Rivigo) and Shalabh Gupta (Noise), Nuuk offers products across four categories: fans, vacuum cleaners, garment care, and juicers and blenders.

At present, Nuuk manufactures only 20% of its products domestically, with the remaining 80% sourced from China. However, co-founder Shalabh Gupta has indicated that the company aims to increase domestic production to over 50% by the conclusion of the financial year 2025-26 (FY26).

In addition to its own website, Nuuk markets its products through various e-commerce platforms.

Nuuk faces competition from established brands such as Philips, Bajaj, Atomberg, and LifeLong Group, among others.
