Dashamlabs Raises Rs 12 Crore to Scale Aerogel Innovations

- Dashamlabs secures Rs 12 crore seed funding to enhance R&D and production.
- Focuses on developing high performance silica aerogel insulation materials for multiple industries.
- Plans to build pilot systems and partner with sectors like oil & gas, EVs, defense, and construction.
Dashamlabs, a Delhi based deep-tech startup specializing in silica aerogel insulation materials, has raised Rs 12 crore in a seed funding round led by Speciale Invest, with participation from IIMA Ventures. The fresh capital will help the company expand its research and development efforts, increase production capacity, and collaborate with industry partners to validate and scale its innovative insulation products.
Founded in 2024 by Ankit Jhanwar, Apoorv Balwani, and Devakar Dhingra, Dashamlabs develops flexible, fire resistant, and lightweight silica aerogel sheets designed for industrial, mobility, and infrastructure applications. The company’s proprietary technology enables the production of flexible sheets with ultra-low thermal conductivity, high-temperature stability ranging from minus 150 degrees Celsius to 1000 degrees Celsius, hydrophobic properties, and fire resistance.
Dashamlabs focuses on refining ethanol based supercritical drying and aims to move towards ambient-pressure drying to enable scalable, cost-effective mass production. This technology positions Dashamlabs as a pioneer in energy efficient insulation materials, with potential use cases in sectors such as oil and gas, electric vehicles, defense, and construction.
