Digital health platform Fold Health announced that it has raised an additional $6 million in a funding round led by Iron Pillar. The new capital will be used to expand Fold Health’s outcomes optimization platform and attract top talent, positioning the company for further growth and innovation in the healthcare sector.

With this latest funding round, Fold Health builds upon its previous raise in 2022, bringing its total funding to $12 million. The company has attracted a strong lineup of investors, including Dr. Rushika Fernandopulle, former Founder and CEO of Iora Health; Dr. Christine Cassel, former President and CEO of the National Quality Forum; Dr. Molly Coye, former Board Member of Aetna; Sridhar Krishnan, former Chief Growth Officer at Cigna; and Anurag Jain, Managing Partner at Perot Jain.

Fold Health, founded in November 2021 by Abhijit Gupta and Ram Sahasranam, is a San Francisco-based digital health company that offers a comprehensive platform for value-based primary care. The company’s mission is to address the gaps in the healthcare industry and provide data-driven, consumer-centered, and prevention-focused care. Fold Health’s platform integrates with electronic health records, offering highly adaptable and modular tools tailored to the unique requirements of healthcare providers. By eliminating the need for custom software development, Fold Health empowers primary care providers to optimize patient care and improve outcomes.

“We are delighted to have the support of Iron Pillar and our esteemed investors as we continue to revolutionize the healthcare industry,” said Abhijit Gupta, Co-founder of Fold Health. “Our platform enables collaborative care teams to seamlessly integrate electronic health records and leverage data to deliver personalized, high-quality care. With this funding, we are well-positioned to expand our operations and attract top talent to drive further innovation.”

Fold Health’s solution is the first electronic health record (EHR)-integrated microservices platform designed for collaborative care teams. Prior to Fold Health, achieving such integration required significant investments in isolated point solutions and custom software. The platform is accessible on any browser-based system, including mobile phones, and can integrate with wearable devices to relay patient data to healthcare providers.

With this latest funding, Fold Health aims to accelerate its expansion and strengthen its presence in the healthcare market. The company recently opened an R&D office in Pune and plans to rapidly grow its workforce throughout the United States.
