
Digital Production Platform Rusk Media Secures INR 2.01 Crore from Gaming Legend Nazara

Rusk Media, a digital production company, has secured INR 2.01 crore from gaming legend Nazara Technologies. The latter owns 1,601 equity shares in the company, which produces YouTube shows aimed at millennial and gen Z audience.
Rusk Media raised INR 4.4 crore last week from current investor Info Edge Ventures, which also invested INR 2.6 crore through its Info Edge Ventures I Fund. Around the same time, it secured INR 55 lakh from Mitco Group and INR 61 lakh from Survam Partners in an ongoing round.
The Noida-based company also runs the Recharge consumer technology and gaming channel, which has over a million members. Tech reviews, explanation and opinion videos, and live gaming sessions are all available on the channel.
Rusk Media's main brand, 'Alright,' has over 2.71 million YouTube subscribers and produces funny mini-web series that are relevant to a young working audience.
It also runs Hattke, a YouTube channel with 1.03 million subscribers that publishes music and dancing videos. The channel also contains choreographed dance routines and lyric videos in addition to Hindi-language original music videos.
Another YouTube channel, LIT ("living in trend"), focuses on shopping, fashion, cuisine, and grooming videos for youngsters. More than 647k people have subscribed to the channel.
Champions, a sports channel owned by Rusk Media, produce a series of 'challenges' based on various sports. Nearly 300,000 people have subscribed to the channel.
Rusk Media's main source of revenue is sponsorship spaces on YouTube videos; some of its clients include Tinder, Vicks, Groww, and others.
Nazara, together with actor Kunal Kapoor and Unacademy founders, invested in Polygon-backed firm NFTIcally earlier this month.
