Boundless Brands, an e-commerce facilitator, has secured a $2.5 million seed fundraising round from US and Indian-based angel investors. The business intends to invest $2 million in the development of its e-commerce platform, $500 million in the creation of beverage items, and the remaining $2 million in marketing, joint ventures, and social media.

Additionally, Boundless intends to integrate more than 1,000 external F&B brands onto its platform over the next two years. Boundless is a full-stack ecommerce platform that provides services such as technology, catalogue, digital marketing, payment, fulfilment, and customer support to food and beverage (F&B) brands. It was founded in 2023 by Sandeep Agarwal, founder of Droom and ShopClues, and Silicon Valley veteran Nagendra Shukla.

The business said that it intended to introduce dozens of beverage products to appeal to the GenZ and millennial populations in India, which make up more than 50% of the country's $100 billion food and beverage sector. "We are expanding our beverage range while simultaneously providing managed services and a full-stack e-commerce platform for the F&B sector. Nagendra Shukla, cofounder and CEO of Boundless Brands, said, "Building this company with Sandeep as founding mentor would assist us to tap into his exceptional track record in e-commerce and marketplaces.

Nagendra spent 23 years in Silicon Valley as a two-time entrepreneur and in tech leadership positions with Sephora, HP, Intuit, and McAfee before starting Boundless. In addition to leading the brand and marketing strategy, he will collaborate closely with the team to find the best partners for production, flavour development, logistics, and fulfilment. Sandeep won't have an executive position at the company, but he will still be the strategy's driver and the team's mentor.

"Boundless is a platform play with an ecosystem of services around it, and it will allow 3rd party brands in F&B to focus on their core competencies of product or brand building and let Boundless handle the e-commerce value chain," said Sandeep Aggarwal. The startup has 18 active workers and is currently situated in Gurugram.

Just one year ago, the e-commerce enabler startup GoKwik won $35 million, and the same year, Tiger Global invested in Shopflo with its first seed fund. Last year, a different business, CommerceIQ, raised $115 million at a unicorn valuation. India's e-commerce business is expected to be worth $46.2 billion by 2020. By 2030, the industry is anticipated to generate $350 billion.
