GR 2022 Holdings has provided investment to e-con Systems, a provider of embedded vision products and services, in the amount of about 100 crore ($13 million). The company's post-raise valuation was kept a secret by e-con Systems.

The company intends to utilise the money to construct additional imaging labs, autonomous mobility robots, autonomous shopping, and cellular imaging facilities in Chennai. Additionally, it intends to grow its activities in the US and other nations. Over 350 people work on the company's R&D, design, and development projects at its Chennai development centre.

e-con Systems, once a provider of product design services, has changed its focus to become an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of camera products. The company manufactures its entire line of camera solutions with the assistance of electronics manufacturing partners in Chennai and Gurugram. Additionally, it collaborates with important lens and sensor manufacturers, including Sony, Onsemi, and Omnivision.

Co-founder and president of e-con Systems Ashok Babu Kunjukkannan stated, "With the support of our talented team of engineers and our unwavering commitment to excellence, we are confident in our ability to maintain our position as a leading global provider of embedded vision products and solutions."

Radhakrishnan Gurusamy of GR 2022 Holdings Inc., e-con Systems is ideally positioned for exponential growth given the rapid expansion of embedded vision and the market tailwinds that currently enable the applications of AI and automation to hardware goods.
