EcoRatings, AI-driven ESG Startup, Secures Pre-Seed from EvolveX
EcoRatings, a sustainability assessments start-up based in New York and founded by Aditi Balbir, Aqeel Ahmed, and Shruti Anand, has secured funding from EvolveX, a prominent startup accelerator program under We Founder Circle (WFC). The investment amount remains undisclosed but is expected to drive EcoRatings' mission of transforming sustainability assessments through cutting-edge AI/ML and Big Data solutions. Launched globally at the 28th United Nations Conference of Parties (COP28) in the UAE, EcoRatings aims to provide consumers with numerical sustainability ratings aligned with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Their goal is to empower individuals to make informed and environmentally conscious choices in sectors like Travel, Fashion, FMCG, Food, Healthcare, and more.
EvolveX, during its Cohort 4 acceleration program, recognized EcoRatings' potential to disrupt traditional sustainability assessment models. They made an undisclosed pre-seed investment, enabling EcoRatings to strategically utilize the funds for technological advancements. EcoRatings, led by Aditi Balbir, leveraging her expertise from organizations like the United Nations Environment Programme, United Nations World Tourism Organisation, World Economic Forum and the International Finance Corporation, focuses on quantifying environmental impact at the product/service level through advanced AI/ML and Big Data technologies.
