Klassroom Edutech, India's leading Hybrid (Offline to Online) tutoring platform, has raised USD 200K as a part of its Pre-series A round led by ah! Ventures with participation of several eminent angel networks like Startup Angels Network, Growth Sense, and Meteor Ventures. This is ah! Ventures’ 75th investment (in 59 Startups) taking its total investment portfolio to INR 210 CR (~30 MN USD) with 10 exits till date (and 3 more exits are in process).

This is ah! Ventures’s 12th investment in 2021 and we plan to do 50+ investments in 2021 totalling to INR 150+ CR (~20MN USD).

Since its inception in 2016, Klassroom Edutech has enjoyed a multi-fold growth in its student-base, revenue and partner network. This extensive experience in the offline coaching market and a strong partner network of 160+ brick and mortar centres across Mumbai & Delhi has helped Klassroom build an ecosystem that enabled launching of the online business within weeks of lockdown in 2020.

Over the past 12 months, 10,000+ students across 500 cities, 22 states, and 3 union territories have spent over a million hours studying on Klassroom’s online platform which now has a reach of 5 million students. Klassroom differentiates itself from other Edutech players by focusing on solving fundamental problems of the education ecosystem such as affordability, accessibility, accountability, and flexibility.

With a special focus on the largely unorganized rural market, Klassroom offers a one-of- a-kind LIVE interactive learning experience on its web-based platform and mobile application by leveraging an extremely talented group of highly experienced teachers, from top institutions. These live lectures for varied courses are offered to students of ICSE, CBSE, and state boards from classes 8 to 12, IIT-JEE, NEET, CA, and for other leading competitive exams.

For the urban Market, Klassroom is eyeing on expanding the already growing partner network from 160+ centres currently in Mumbai and Delhi, to other cities and states once the impact of the pandemic begins to normalise.

Klassroom’s diligent filtering and selection of eligible and dedicated partners, solves the challenge of ‘selecting the best local institute’ for students while providing increased occupancy and efficient utilisation of capacity for local partners. Klassroom’s Hybrid business model has provided unique cross selling opportunities, where students enrolled in physical centres can benefit from online/live tutoring and vice versa. Klassroom is targeting the Rurban (Rural + Urban) population with intent of making quality coaching accessible to all.

"With the aid of funds raised in the current round, we plan to launch similar online academic, test preparation and supplementary courses including Foreign Language, Technical, Vocational and Skill Enhancement in the Middle East and South East Asia" said Alka Javeri Co-Founder Klassroom.

"Klassroom gives offline coaching entrepreneurs an opportunity to be a part of the Klassroom brand, boost their revenues and get them tech-enabled in this transforming ecosystem", stated Dhruv Javeri, Co-Founder Klassroom. ”
