Edtech Startup Rocket Skills raises INR 2.2 crore led by Better Capital, First Cheque & Others

Rocket Skills, an edutech startup, has raised Rs 2.2 crores in pre-seed funding led by Better Capital, First Cheque, and Titan Capital.

The startup is a first-of-its-kind platform that educates and mentors the next generation of entrepreneurs through a variety of courses and mentoring programmes. This round included popular angel investors Harpreet Singh Grover (founder, Co-cubes), Aprameya (founder, Taxi for Sure and Koo), Abhinav Jain (founder, Shop101), and Pravin Jadhav (ex-CEO Paytm Money, founder Raise).

Rocket Skills is currently working with agri-entrepreneurs to equip them with the knowledge of developing a business through content curated by qualified experts, with a focus on India's microMSMEs. In addition, the company is developing intermediate courses aimed at various aspects of the business life cycle, such as logistics, procurement, and others.

The startup, which is currently focused on providing agricultural education, intends to broaden its course base in order to reach a larger audience.

According to a press release, the company is assisting small businesses by providing access to specialised online training modules in topics such as Organic Farming Business, Mushroom Farming, Apiculture, Biofloc Fish Farming, Hydroponics, and several other modern farming techniques.

It also offers individualised support and industry-recognized certificates upon completion of each programme.

Rocket Skills is attempting to bridge the gap between the MSME sector's growth potential and the country's lack of infrastructure through the platform.
