Ekincare Receives Fund Worth USD 3.6 Million

Team Startup CityHealthcare startup Ekincare has received funding worth USD 3.6 million (INR 25.8 crore) inits investment round. The funders who participated in the funding round were investors like Ventureast and Eight Roads. The round was led by a new investor. The name of the company was not disclosed by the company. Ventureast, Eight Roads and touchstone equities also contributed in the round.

With this fresh investment, the company has amassed total funding of USD 5.6 million. The company intends to use the fund to bolster ekincare’s technology platform, business development, marketing
and to expand its offerings and operations in the corporate health benefits market. “Our patent-pending technology recognizes patterns across disparate health data sets, discerning differences between consumer segments and behavior to engage people better,’’ Kiran Kalakuntla, CEO and Founder, skincare said in a release.

At present, ekincare serves at least two hundred companies. It is also catering to the health needs of more than three lakh employees on its platform. The company provides health services like telemedicine, e-pharmacy, health checks, vision, and dental care. It also offers access to gyms along with additional services.

Founded in 1997, Ventureast is a VC firm that manages close to USD 3.6 million funds, earlier in 2018 had raised funds worth $1.5 million with a diverse portfolio of more than 100 investments in technology, healthcare, life sciences, and clean environment. Its investments include startups such as Gland Pharma, Moschip, Sresta’s 24 Mantra, Little Eye Labs, Atyati, Loylty Rewardz, and DiabetOmics. Ekincare’s patent-pending Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered health assistant assists in reading medical data from different data sets to create a health graph, predicts health risks, and provides timely personalized recommendations to beat those risks.
