
Electric Scooter Manufacturer Ather Energy Raises $35 Million in Series D Funding


This investment round comes at the heels of Ather Energy’s extended series C round of funding in July where it had raised $11.21 million from Hero MotoCorp.
Ather Energy intends to utilize the fresh infusion of funds to accelerate its expansion plans and speed up the deliveries of its new two wheelerAther 450X.
Additionally the company is also working towards opening nine new markets in the coming days and that is moving to a new manufacturing facility in Hosurto meet projected demand.
Founded in Founded in 2013 by IIT Madras alumni Tarun Mehta and Swapnil Jain, Ather Energy launched India’s first electric scooter Ather 450 in 2018. The company proceeded to launch its flagship product Ather 450X in 2020.
