EnglishYaari, a fast-growing English communication startup, has raised Rs 1 crore in fresh funding at a valuation of Rs 10 crore. The investment came from a group of high-net-worth individual (HNI) investors based in Mumbai.

Founded in 2024 by Vikas Gupta, Piyush Shekhar, and Sandeep Kumar Singh, EnglishYaari focuses on 1-on-1 live English conversation practice. The platform helps working professionals build confidence for meetings, interviews, presentations, and client interactions.

The company will use the new funds to expand into international markets, build an AI-powered learning layer alongside live tutors, and strengthen its team. The founders aim to make confident English speaking accessible to millions of young professionals in India and abroad. Notably, EnglishYaari is among the few startups from Bihar to raise funding from outside the state.

EnglishYaari currently works with over 100 active tutors and conducts more than 700 live sessions daily. The app has crossed 100,000 downloads, holds a 4.8 star rating, and reports 95 percent learner satisfaction. The platform serves over 100,000 registered users, including learners from overseas markets.
