Expert Dojo Launches $100K India Startup Cohort

• Expert Dojo has launched a $100K India-focused startup cohort, targeting over 10 early-stage companies in sectors like AI, EV, and B2B.
• The move supports Indian founders with global funding, mentorship, and market access as part of a $15M fund set to back 20–25 startups by FY26.
• Applications are now open for startups seeking to scale internationally with Expert Dojo’s support.
U.S.-based venture capital firm Expert Dojo, which focuses on early-stage investments, has introduced a new cohort for startups in India, pledging $100,000 in funding for over 10 early-stage companies. This initiative is aimed at addressing sectors such as technology, artificial intelligence (AI), electric vehicles (EV), and B2B solutions. The goal is to tackle significant challenges that Indian founders encounter, including restricted access to global funding, insufficient international mentorship, and limited market access.
The cohort is designed to assist startups in enhancing their business models, expanding into new markets, and securing their next rounds of funding more efficiently. This announcement follows Expert Dojo's introduction of a $15 million fund dedicated to India, which aims to invest in 20 to 25 startups by the end of fiscal year 2026. Although the fund is open to all sectors, it will focus on fintech, SaaS, B2B, and innovations driven by AI.
“As the startup world expands beyond Silicon Valley, we see enormous promise in regions like India, where innovation is thriving. With applications now open, we’re excited to discover bold founders ready to take their ideas from concept to global scale”, said Brian Mac Mahon, Founder and Managing Partner.
Ashutosh Kumar, General Partner added, “India is not just a market for us, it’s a priority. We see a powerful wave of innovation emerging from tier-1 cities to remote corners of the country, led by founders who understand real problems on the ground”. Expert Dojo has already supported over 300 startups across 40+ countries through its accelerator and venture fund.
The recently introduced India cohort will provide strategic advice, global exposure, and growth assistance to aid Indian startups in developing for international markets. Startups looking for funding and mentorship aimed at scaling are now invited to apply.
