ExtraMile Play Raises $500,000 to Scale Its Gamified Employee Engagement Platform

Gamified employee engagement startup ExtraMile Play has raised about $500,000 in a seed round led by GSF, with additional participation from Mount Judi Ventures, GrowthSense and Growth91. This new round comes after the Mumbai-based company secured 80 lakhs in an earlier angel round from Chirag Shah, Rahil Bhansali, Animesh Kumar and 1SmallStep.
The company plans to invest the fresh capital in product innovation, technology enhancements and expansion into new enterprise segments and global markets, it said in a press release.
Founded in 2011 by Pooja Bajaj, ExtraMile Play focuses on improving workplace culture through an AI-supported B2B SaaS platform. It offers a library of more than 180 digital and virtual activities built using behavioral science and gamification. The platform supports remote, hybrid and on-site teams and helps enterprises build stronger, more connected workplaces.
ExtraMile Play aims to bring more humanity and joy into work by making engagement measurable, consistent and purpose-driven. Its tools help companies build programs that combine play, learning and wellbeing while keeping productivity in mind.

Over the past year, the startup says it has worked with more than 100 enterprises across BFSI, retail, pharma, consulting and IT sectors, engaging over 150,000 employees. It has also rolled out new product lines around learning games, DEI initiatives and wellbeing programs. Its client list includes Motilal Oswal, EY, Cipla, Aditya Birla Capital, Edelweiss and Nexus Malls
