Ex-Unacademy COO-owned 'Beyond Odds Technologies' bags $11 million Fund

Ex-Chief Operating officer of Unacademy, Vivek Sinha established his new venture, Beyond Odds Technologies with a seed investment capital of $11 million. Matrix Partners India and Lightspeed directed the funding round. Exclusively, the group CEO & founder of Ritesh Agarwal & CEO & Founder of Gaurav Munjal also took part in the round.

The official statement of the company claimed that this development of the venture holds a support & financial assistance from others including Mayank Kumar – upGrad, Ramakant Sharma – Livspace, Abhishek Goyal – Tracxn, Rohit MA - CloudNine Hospitals, Sumer Juneja – Softbank & Puneet Kumar – Steadview.

The new inventive venture, Beyond Odds Technologies is an employability-based tech-driven platform that trains, hires, certifies, empowers, and deploys candidates for blue collar job positions in key tech industries such as education, healthcare, hospitality & construction.

Expressing about his new endeavors, Vivek Sinha, Founder & CEO, Beyond Odds Technologies states, “Our platform will address the shortages in skilled workforce in both domestic and global markets by creating high-quality supply from India. Our first initiative, ‘Emversity,’ is a higher education brand that helps universities integrate their degrees with industry-relevant skills. Our courses also come with ‘built-in income’, so candidates do not have to wait for completion of their formal higher education to earn their first pay cheque. Other features of these courses include ‘work abroad integrated’ modules, and extensive placement assistance”.
