Simple Viral Games (SVG), a mobile gaming platform, has raised Rs 4 crore (US$ 500,000) in a pre-seed round that was spearheaded by WEH Ventures. The investment round was also attended by Eximius Ventures, PointOne Capital, Force Ventures, and a few angel investors, including Ankit Agrawal (founder and CEO of InsuranceDekho) and Prashant Sachan.

Rahul KR and Sourav Badami launched Simple Viral Games, a gaming platform that provides straightforward, entertaining games that are free to play and have straightforward mechanics. Time Pass, a casual game with a TikTok-like UI that users may choose between, was released by the startup in December. In addition to Time Pass, SVG's portfolio includes games like Element Block, Golf Adventures, and Cozy Farm.

As per the founders, their goal with SVG is to become a TikTok-like platform for hyper-casual/casual games and empower game developers. In the next 3-5 years, the founders wish to have over 100M monthly active gamers on the platform. The firm also looks to build an offline version of Time Pass, which is currently available on iOS, Android and its website.

India has 507 million players, according to a survey by gaming investment firm Lumikai. Moreover, $8.6 billion is predicted for the gaming sector in FY27. Ashneer Grover, a former co-founder of BharatPe, just founded CrickPe, a fantasy sports site, betting on this expansion.

Manish Agarwal, the former CEO of Nazara Technologies, and web3 investor Ishank Gupta recently raised Rs 160 crore in a venture round for their web3 gaming business Kratos Studios.
