Health-Tech Startup BestDoc Raises $2.1 Million in Series A Funding

Team StartupcityKochi based health-tech startup BestDoc announced on Tuesday that it raised $2.1 Million in Series A round of funding. Led by US based VC firm Accel and Bangalore based Arkam Ventures, the current round was also participated in by SEA Funds, BestDoc’s existing investors.

The firm intends to utilize this fresh capital to expand its presence across the country and
develop products for improving in-patient admission & hospitalization experience.

Backed by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), the company is a Software as a Service (SaaS) player that builds hospital management systems for Patient Relationship Management. Founded by Afsal Sulu and Fayaz Bin Abdu in 2016.

BestDoc has so far partnered with over 100 hospitals such as Apollo Hospitals, Neo Hospitals, KIMS Health, Aster MIMS, Meitra Hospitals to name a few. The company has handled over 3500000 patient visits so far through its products that help hospitals save staffing costs and improve operational efficiency.

In wake of Covid 19 crisis, BestDoc has fortified its tele-medicine services to include video consultation, contactless payment, contactless pre-registration, contactless check-in and a Covid screening tool.

“In the Covid-19 scenario, BestDoc has scaled up its telemedicine and contactless solutions across several states as healthcare digitisation gathers pace,” said Salu.
