HealthTech Startup EzeRx Raises INR 1.75 Crore from KIIT - TBI & Angel Investors

Team StartupcityKolkata based heath-tech startup EzeRx has raised INR 1.75 Crore in seed fund from KIIT-TBI, an Odisha based incubator. The current round of funding also saw participation from angel investors such as Sudip Row Chowdhury, Sri Krishna Chakravarty, Manoj Patra, and Shradha Sharma.

The company intends to utilize the fresh infusion of funds towards team building, regulatory compliance, manufacturing facilities, and working capital. With this financing round EzeRx’s valuation has reached 12 crore.
Founded in 2018 by Partha Pratim Das Mahapatra, Chaitali Roy and Amit Mandahar EzeRx develops and manufactures highly advanced medical devices and innovative solutions, designed for the effective management of curative and preventive healthcare.

Geared towards tackling the diagnostic challenges pertaining to anemia and liver & lung related diseases, the company has developed an easy to use device EZY-CHK. The non-invasive and contactless portable contactless portable device can detect anemia, predict liver and lungs problems within less than five seconds.

Incubated at KIIT – TBI since 2019, EzeRx had earlier raised its first round of funding of Rs 25 lakh, at from the INVENT programme. The company had also raised its first grant of Rs 6 lakh from NIDHI Prayas by DST, followed by Rs 48 lakh grant from Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council under Department of Biotechnology (DBT-BIRAC).

EzeRx is also a recipient of the Aarohan Gold award from Infosys Foundation in 2019 and was awarded Rs 20 lakh. The company is currently working on an R&D project with the Indian Oil Corporation through which it has received an investment of Rs 1.25 crore.
