Housing Startup Stanza Living Raises Funds from Multiple Investors

Team Startup CityStanza Living a Delhi- based student housing startup that caters to the needs of students, who have left their cities, towns or villages to megacities in search of better jobs and opportunities by providing them with safe and affordable accommodation. The co-living startup which was founded in 2017 by Sandeep Dalmia and Anindya Dutta strives to create student-centric accommodations. The company offers student accommodations ranging from INR 7,000 to INR 25,000.


According to an ET report, fresh investments have been made as part of a Series-C round of funding. In this funding round Stanza Living has raised total funds worth $50 million from investment firm Falcon Edge Capital. On top of that additional funds of undisclosed amount have also been raised from a real estate focused recruitment company Equity International led by its founder Sam Zell - a prominent billionaire and philanthropist

Earlier in March 2019, Stanza Living had raised$4.4 Million in venture debt from Alteria Capital. As of March 2019, the co-living startup was growing exponentially, seven times higher than the previous year. It has an inventory of about 15,000 beds spread across the cities of Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, Indore, Vadodara and Dehradun in 2019.

Stanza Living is planning to foray further into other cities as well. The startup recently launched itself in Coimbatore and is planning to extend further into Chennai and Ahmedabad.
