IIT Alumni-led Aroleap Secures the Deal of Rs.1 crore in Shark Tank India
The latest episode which was aired few days back, witnessed a tremendous successful deal between a team of bright enthusiasts of Delhi IIT and Notable investors or sharks. The episode revolves around big fat Rs.1 crore deal which was offered by 4 sharks.
The group of Alumni of IIT Delhi has come up with a unique all-in-one smart home gym 'Aroleap' wall-mounted home gym solution covering full-body workouts. The product and the company made their debut on the stage of Shark tank India season 3.
The company was founded by IIT Delhi alumni, including Anurag Dani, Aman Rai, and Rohit Patel. The machine can offer personalized training and a wide variety of workouts delivered straight to your door, an one-stop solution for staying fit and active. In that smart home equipment, we can do squats, deadlift, bench press and more. They were seeking Rs. 1 crore for 2.5 percent equity from the sharks.
Commenting on the overall experience Aman Rai mentioned, “Appearing on Shark Tank India with our brand ‘Aroleap’ was an experience like nothing before. Even though we had a lot of pitching experience, it was our first time in front of the camera, pitching in such a high-pressure setting.”
He also added, “Sharks were able to see through the business and identify the problems by asking the right questions. They gave us deep, non-superficial and specific actionable advice within a span of an hour. It was the first time when we got to self-reflect on softer aspects of leading a startup and have already started working on their feedback.”
The company managed to crack the deal of of Rs. 1 crore for 5 per cent equity with sharks Amit Jain (CEO and Co-founder of CarDekho Group), Anupam Mittal (Founder and CEO of Shaadi.com), Azhar Iqubal (Co-founder and CEO of Inshorts), and Peyush Bansal (Co-founder and CEO of Lenskart.com).
