Industrial Automation Startup 'Ati Motors' bags $20 million Series B
A $20 million Series B investment led by Walden Catalyst Ventures (WCV) and NGP Capital (NGP) was announced today by Ati Motors, a leader in AI and autonomous robots. Current investors True Ventures, Exfinity Venture Partners, Athera Venture Partners, and Blume Ventures also participated. The funding follows Ati Motors' outstanding performance, which included the addition of nine top-tier clients and a tripled order book in Q4 2024.
The industrial sector's approach to automation is being revolutionized by Ati Motors' proficiency in robotics, artificial intelligence, and manufacturing. Hundreds of its Sherpa robots have been used by 40 top manufacturers (30% of the Fortune 500), including Hyundai and Forvia, which have several large-scale deployments in North America.
By using one of the biggest and most varied factory datasets for autonomous mobility, the company will be able to create and implement its robotic workforce more quickly thanks to the funding. Autonomous robots from Ati Motors have been used all over the world in dynamic and intricate manufacturing settings, providing industry-leading uptime and assisting clients in achieving remarkable productivity increases.
As consumers no longer tolerate boring, filthy, and hazardous jobs, manufacturers everywhere are eager to integrate robots into their workforce. The availability of robots that can perform as well as humans in real-world situations, however, has limited adoption. Ati Motors has succeeded in closing this gap.
Saurabh Chandra, Founder and CEO of Ati Motors says, "Since our founding, Ati Motors mission has been to create advanced, reliable products that enhance both productivity and efficiency in industrial settings. This funding will accelerate our ability to leverage our extensive real-world dataset to develop next-generation AI models and further advance our industrial autonomy platform. The rapid growth we're experiencing validates our approach of focusing on manufacturing as a vertical and conceptualizing these robots as purpose-built self-driving vehicles."
Shankar Chandran, Partner at Walden Catalyst Ventures adds, "Ati Motors represents the future of industrial automation. Their unique combination of advanced AI capabilities and robotics, along with a deep understanding of manufacturing environments, positions them perfectly to lead the next wave of industrial automation. The impressive growth they've achieved validates their approach and demonstrates the strong market demand for their solutions."
