Boxs, a B2B platform catering to interior designers and architects in the manufacturing sector, has successfully raised $1.6 million in seed funding. The funding round was led by Peak XV Partners’ Surge program, with participation from Titan Capital and Zetwerk founders. The infusion of capital will be strategically employed to enrich Boxs’ product offerings and expand its manufacturing capabilities.

While a plethora of software solutions aids interior designers in conceptualizing designs, a notable gap persists in transforming these designs into tangible realities. Designers often encounter the challenge of coordinating with multiple contractors and carpenters to bring their concepts to life. Moreover, project planning and cost estimation are commonly managed through traditional spreadsheets.

Boxs is positioned to bridge this gap by harnessing technology to deliver fully assembled products based on designs, reminiscent of the buying experience at IKEA. In doing so, Boxs streamlines the execution process, presenting designers with a seamless experience. The recently acquired funding will empower Boxs to concentrate on further advancing its technological prowess and manufacturing capacities, thereby ensuring elevated outcomes, improved profit margins, and expedited timelines for its clients.

Vikram Venkatesan, Co-Founder of Boxs, emphasized, “Interior design firms have long grappled with outdated systems and processes, dedicating considerable time to on-site workforce management to ensure adherence to quality and timelines. With the new capital infusion, we are steadfastly focusing on bolstering our tech infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities to furnish customers with a superlative, hassle-free experience, augmented profit margins, and condensed timelines.”

Established in May 2022 by Satheesh Ramdass and Vikram Venkatesan, both alumni of the College of Engineering, Guindy, Boxs thrives on their collective vision. Ramdass brings invaluable technical leadership experience garnered from renowned entities like Oracle, Microsoft, and Vegrow, while Venkatesan boasts a robust background in product and engineering roles at D. E. Shaw, Thoughtworks, and Ally.io.
