Deep science venture Iom Bioworks raised Rs 4 crore in a seed funding round co-led by Inflection Point Ventures, or IPV, a Gurugram-based angel investment company. The new capital will be used to accelerate marketing efforts, build intellectual property assets, build core infrastructure, and increase both its scientific and commercial workforce.

Established in 2022 by Bipin Pradeep Kumar, Dr. Samik Ghosh, and Dr. Hiroaki Kitano, Iom Bioworks is leading the charge in personalized health solutions by discovering and accurately modulating important gut microbiota. Using a proprietary platform powered by AI and state-of-the-art modeling, they draw insights from large-scale knowledge graphs to provide extremely personalized and efficacious recommendations for health.

Within its maiden year, the company has treated more than 500 customers, obtained two awarded patents (with two others in advanced pipeline), and published papers in leading scientific journals. Leveraging pan-India logistics and online access to personalized microbiome services, the startup is building a solid foundation for affordable, science-driven gut health solutions.
