JITO Incubation and Innovation Foundation Takes Lead in undisclosed Pre-Series A Funding for Ecowrap
JITO Incubation and Innovation Foundation (JIIF), the exclusive community based angel network in India, has made an undisclosed investment in a Pre-Series funding round for Ecowrap. The investment initiative has been spearheaded by JITO Incubation and Innovation Foundation. Launched in October 2020, Ecowrap introduces a technology-driven waste management solution centered on waste segregation at the source, tailored for the HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, Cafe) industry. Ecowrap’s inventive business model aims to enhance the viability and scalability of waste management services by providing an all-inclusive end-to-end solution on a unified platform. This encompassing solution encompasses waste segregation, supply chain management, and the creation of upcycled products.
Ecowrap has developed an advanced technological solution concentrating on waste segregation directly from its origin, concentrating specifically on the waste generated within the HORECA sector. By furnishing a comprehensive suite of services encompassing waste segregation, collection, monitoring, recycling, and upcycling, Ecowrap aspires to address the environmental issues associated with waste management.
Angraj Swami, Co-founder of Ecowrap, expressed his delight, stating, “We are delighted to have received the support from JIIF. This capital infusion will be instrumental in realizing our expansion goals and allowing us to establish a presence in various cities. With our commitment to waste management and sustainability, we are determined to provide the best-in-class solution to our clients. We are also immensely proud to contribute to the economic empowerment of rural women through our upcycling initiatives.”
Pooja Mehta, Chief Operating Officer of JITO Incubation and Innovation Foundation, remarked, “It is a pleasure to partner with Ecowrap as the lead investor in this funding round. Their innovative approach to waste management, centered around waste segregation at the source, has the potential to create a significant positive impact on our environment. We believe in Ecowrap’s mission and are confident in their ability to revolutionize the industry..”
Ecowrap has rapidly garnered recognition for its tech-driven waste management solution. The platform has successfully united over 1130 HORECA establishments, implementing a mechanism for segregating waste at its origin. Beyond their waste management endeavors, Ecowrap is leaving a social imprint by empowering economically disadvantaged women through the upcycling of waste materials.
