KhiladiPro, a sportstech startup based in Bengaluru, has made waves by securing $1 million in pre-seed funding to revolutionize how young athletes in India are discovered, assessed, and trained.
Launched in August 2023, this innovative company is on a mission to transform youth athlete development. The funding round was co-led by Shastra VC and MGA Ventures, with contributions from several notable family offices and angel investors, including M Pallonji, Jeena and Co., Ayaz Billawala, Nimesh Kampani, and Jaimin Bhat.

With this fresh capital, KhiladiPro aims to enhance its cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) technology and expand its reach throughout India. It stands out as one of the few startups in the country utilizing mobile-based visual AI alongside global athletic training frameworks to provide expert-level sports assessments on a large scale.

KhiladiPro’s platform harnesses AI-driven video analysis tools to assess children's athletic abilities, offering standardized feedback for coaches, schools, and parents. Among its key offerings is the KPro Sports Ability Test (SAT), which evaluates physical conditioning and motor skills through a mobile interface, and the Khiladi Ability Index (KAI), a comprehensive athlete rating system aligned with international benchmarks like Fundamental Motor Skills (FMS) and the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model.

The company has developed over 56 proprietary AI models and is positioning itself as a vital player in creating a digitally empowered, Olympic-ready pipeline for youth athletes. It has already formed partnerships with prominent organizations such as the Karnataka Badminton Association, the Handball Association of India, and Delhi’s DLCL cricket league to bolster its grassroots outreach. KhiladiPro’s efforts go beyond just athlete assessment.

Its Khiladi Klub nurtures promising talent with customized training resources, while the KPro Olympiad introduces structured, competitive assessments in schools, aiming to standardize how young athletes are identified and developed.
