Kidbea, a children's fashion brand focusing on bamboo-based clothing, announced securing $1 million in pre-Series A funding led by Venture Catalysts, an early-stage investment firm. The funding round witnessed participation from Agility Ventures and BestVantage Investments, as well as notable individuals including Sandeep Agarwal and Upasana Agarwal, founders of Droom, Ashok Bahadur, a group of seasoned angel investors, and Hiro Mizushima, a renowned Japanese celebrity actor.

"The funding marks a significant milestone as we aim to elevate Kidbea into a Rs 500 crore brand within the next three years. This financial backing enables us to enhance our sustainable product offerings, expand our global footprint, and continue redefining children's fashion", stated Swapnil Srivastav, co-founder of Kidbea. He highlighted that the brand achieved eightfold revenue growth in FY-23 within the growing kidswear sector valued at $16.4 billion.

Established in 2021 by Swapnil Srivastav, Mohammad Hussain, and Aman Kumar Mahto, Kidbea specializes in crafting bamboo-derived, gentle children's clothing. Their products address common concerns such as discomfort, skin irritations, and stains in infants, offering GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified garments that are eco-friendly and gentle on children's skin. Kidbea plans to utilize the funding to amplify marketing and branding efforts, expand its workforce, and streamline operations. Additionally, a strategic portion of the funds will be allocated to research, development, and technology to maintain a prominent position in the swiftly evolving children's fashion landscape.
