Leumas Raises $2.2M to Disrupt Pharma & Wellness Manufacturing

- $2.2M Seed Round: Capital 2B leading, accompanied by Capital-A and Anicut Capital.
- Modular Factory-as-a-Service: AI-driven, software-defined production for pharma and wellness.
- Global Expansion & Scale: 120+ products scaled; partnerships in India, U.S., and MENA.
Leumas, an Indian deeptech startup with a focus on manufacturing innovation, has raised $2.2 million in a seed funding round led by Capital 2B a Temasek and Info Edge-backed fund joined by Capital-A and Anicut Capital. The new capital will be used to scale Leumas' R&D capabilities, further grow its on-demand, software-based manufacturing infrastructure, and deploy pilot factories designed specifically for pharma and wellness brands.
Focusing on asset-light, modular, and smart production lines, Leumas facilitates end-to-end manufacturing from formulation development to commercial production in unmatched speed, traceability, and flexibility. "Pharma and wellness businesses don't need more capacity they need flexible, scalable solutions," explained co-founders Subhajit Biswas and Nitesh K. "Leumas is developing software-defined manufacturing stacks that are modular, intelligent, and distributed."
Capital 2B partner Vibhore Sharma said, "Leumas is addressing the world bottleneck of slow, expensive, and inflexible manufacturing. Their software-integrated robot systems redefine what factories can be." Ankit Kedia, Capital-A Founder, highlighted Leumas' worth in sectors where compliance, agility, and batch precision matter most.
The startup's cyber-physical system combines AI-based robotics, computer vision quality systems, and autonomous operations to provide continuous, traceable, and unmanned production with unmatchable formulation accuracy. Leumas has grown more than 120 wellness products in India, the U.S., and MENA over the last year, and also initiated partnerships with leading pharma and food R&D centers to deploy modular factory capabilities.
Ajay Anand of Anicut Capital put it succinctly: "Leumas is a step into the future of smart, scalable manufacturing and the manufacturing rise of India."
