The pre-seed funding round for Leumas, a digital manufacturing solution for brands, was headed by Capital 2B, Anicut Capital, and Capital A and raised Rs 7 crore. The startup will use the money raised to expand its digital factory, which will be used by partner brands, as well as to hire a "A Team" to help it grow in the GTM, technology, manufacturing, and operations areas.

Nitesh Kumar and Subhajit Biswas founded Leumas, which offers on-demand production capabilities with flexibility around volume, diversity, and scale for companies in the nutrition, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical sectors.

With its unequalled flexibility regarding batch size, product mix, and format, digital factory technology is a cyber-physical platform of software-controlled robotic production lines that are modular, re-configurable, and scalable.

The business hopes to use this pre-seed capital to reinvent the legacy factory system by utilising developments in cutting-edge emerging technologies including industrial robotics, the IIoT, and cyber-physical systems. Additionally, it will continue to develop the Leumasware platform and add process-line capabilities to its nano-factories with the goal of becoming the new manufacturing standard for process industries.
