Lifechart Raises $360K in Seed Funding for Gut Wellness Brand Guttify

Lifechart, a health technology firm that specializes in gut wellness, has raised $360,000 in an extended seed round, spearheaded by Prajay Advisors, the family office of Unichem Labs cofounder Prakash Mody and chairman Jayendra Shah. The funding will be used for Guttify, Lifechart's gut wellness brand.

With this recent investment, Lifechart has raised more than $1 million to date since its first $500,000 seed round in October 2024, supported by Expert Dojo, Agility Ventures, Sunn91 Ventures, government seed schemes, and angel investors like Nitish Mittersain and Ahana Gautam.

Co-founded in 2022 by Mansi Sharma and Mukul Shah, Guttify focuses on India's urban consumers in tier III and I cities through a diagnosis-first strategy. The brand provides clinically proven solutions and DIY at-home gut testing kits combining herbal remedies with modern science. Its first product, a saliva pH test kit for acidity, is available now, with more kits costing as little as Rs. 99 to be released in the next few months.

Guttify's purpose is to give all Indians accessible, accurate, and personalized science-based gut health solutions enabled by technology and motivated by Ayurveda. Lifechart and Guttify have the vision of building a complete ecosystem for gut well-being to help solve India's pervasive gut health epidemic in which more than 60 percent of the population suffer from digestive ailments. The Indian gut health market is estimated to grow to $18 billion.
